On New Year’s Day, my mom and sisters and I went cross-country skiing northeast of Peterborough, at the Trent University Wildlife Sanctuary.  There’s still a lot of ice out on the trails, and not quite enough snow cover, and it was a chilly -15C, but it was nice to get outside and get our blood flowing on what was otherwise a pretty low-key day. It was also a great opportunity to try out my new camera, which was a Christmas gift from my dad.  I’m still learning how to use it, but I’m pretty happy with it so far!
